Lollapalooza Festival was launched in 1991 by Jane's Addiction singer Perry Farrell. it was started as a touring festival which travelled all over the USA.
The festival was started as a farewell show for the band but when organising it Perry Farrell was influenced by Gathering Of The Tribes Music Festival (a two day music festival known for its variety of all genres from metal to rap) which has inspired the mixed Lollapalooza line-up ever since.
Lollapalooza Festival Brazil 2013 is being held at the Jockey Club in Sao Paulo on March 29th - 30th. This instalment features a very mixed line up of the best artists in various genres including Pearl Jam, The Killers, Deadmau5 and the Black Keys to name a few.
